Background & Objectives: Health globalization leads to the formation of a new type of tourism are known as health tourism. In the medical tourism as a branch of health tourism has grown rapidly over the other branches and many countries already have programs for the development and utilization of it. Because, as a bordering province, Ardabil province is likely to progress in the field of medical tourism and Due to numerous problems in this area, this paper examines the barriers to the development of this type of tourism in the province of Ardabil.
Methods: To analyze the data, student t-test and Friedman test was used. The findings showed, Medical tourism are the barriers in Ardebil: barriers information systems and marketing with an average rating of 29.75 First step, And other policy and legislative barriers to the rank 25.14, 24.92 infrastructural barriers, barriers product development and quality of service, 24.80, 24.49 administration's attitude barriers, barriers manpower 22.46, 20.54 and socio-cultural barriers economic barriers, with mean scores of 16.19 in the Report next is.
Results: The results showed that each of these barriers have an essential role in preventing the development of medical tourism in this area And sub-indices act as barriers to the development of the sector. In the end we presented suggestions for tourism development and removing barriers. |
