Investigate the Efficacy of Parenting Skill in Reducing Adolescent Conduct Disorder and Aggression

Background & objectives: The current study sought to investigate the efficacy of parenting skill in Reducing adolescent conduct disorder and aggression.
Methods: 32 adolescent (with their parents) came to clinical setting were chosen after recognized CD symptoms with CIS-4 and randomly divided into control and interventional groups. Then, subjects in the interventional group were being trained for &ldquoparenting skill&rdquo in 10 sessions. Subjects in control group did not receive any training. Subjects in both interventional and control groups answered initially tested using measuring tool adolescent Aggression Questionnaire and CD symptoms before treatment and after treatment.
Results: According to the findings, there was a significant difference in posttest score of CD symptoms, failure, aggression in peer relationship and physical aggression after adjusting pretest scores(p>0.001).
Conclusion: The results demonstrated that parent management training effect CD symptoms and aggressive behavior. |
